Mogu Mogu, a prominent Thai juice brand, brings a fusion of authenticity and modernity to the beverage industry. Renowned for its iconic chewable bits (Nata De Coco) in every
sip, Mogu Mogu juices stand out in the market, offering a delightful and refreshing experience.

the objective

The objective is to position Mogu Mogu as a cool, exotic, and refreshing beverage choice. The branding aims to enhance brand recognition, evoke a sense of adventure, and solidify Mogu Mogu’s status as a trendsetter in the beverage industry.

Mogu Mogu, despite its popularity, requires rebranding due to outdated imagery, unclear messaging, and limited appeal beyond its current demographic. A fresh identity could modernise its image, clarify its target audience, and enhance its market competitiveness, ensuring sustained relevance and growth in a dynamic consumer landscape.

ideation & Conceptualization

The idea was to create a fun, vibrant and youthful brand that would invite a broader and newer audience.
To do this a kawaii style custom type was created using the ‘cube’ form of the Nata de Coco jelly that is the USP of the brand. All the illustrations as well as typography for the brand were created based on the
same ‘cube’ concept.

Several logo options were created following the same kawaii and cubic style to ensure legibility and create a meaningful, modern and fun brand image.

Final logo

The final logo is a combination of filled and outlined text, this represents the liquid and jelly in Mogu Mogu drinks.

what i learned

Working on the Mogu Mogu Juice Rebranding assignment was very enjoyable. Here’s what I took away from it:

Brand Identity: Crafting a clean and attractive identity becomes critical to breathe new life into any brand.

Visual Communication: Using visual factors successfully to communicate the brand’s essence and values will help in connecting with the target market.

Market Understanding: Understanding the market landscape and consumer possibilities is important for designing a rebranding approach that resonates with the target audience.

Holistic Approach: Taking a holistic technique to the rebranding process, considering numerous touchpoints which include packaging, marketing substances, and online presence, was vital for consistency and brand coherence.
