the problem

Injured stray animals often suffer in silence, and without prompt intervention, their condition can deteriorate rapidly, NGOs and volunteers dedicated to animal welfare may not always be aware of specific cases as many people are hesitant to help an injured animal due to reasons such as busy schedules, lack of information or transport or simply dislike.

About Fosterfindr

FosterFindr includes a geolocation feature that allows users to mark the location of an injured stray animal. The app then sends alerts to nearby NGOs, volunteers, and animal lovers who can respond quickly to the distress call. It also includes a community platform for volunteers and quick first-aid tips.

what i learned

During the ideation and layout levels of FosterFindr, I gleaned numerous important insights.

Firstly, knowing the wishes of rescuers and individuals encountering injured animals was paramount. This taught me the significance of empathizing with customers and understanding them through consumer studies to ensure the app correctly addressed their pain points.

Secondly, integrating geolocation capabilities and alert systems requires cautious consideration of user privacy and gadget reliability. This taught me the significance of balancing functionality with privacy.
