about aakarah

Aakarah, Sanskrit for shape or form is an art exhibition organized by college students, teachers, alumni and skilled professionals from the fields of art and design to showcase their work and new developments in the field to potential employers, the general public and young people interested in the field. Since the theme was ‘Indian Art’ and the name of the exhibition means ‘shape’ both of these ideas were merged to create a typographical logo which was constructed of basic shapes and a brand pattern which was inspired by early Indian motifs.

what i learned

This was among the first real world projects I worked on, as before this all the projects I had done were hypothetical brands and college assignments.

The project involved multiple rounds of revisions based on client feedback, highlighting the importance of flexibility, adaptability, and continuous improvement. It emphasized the significance of attention to detail and quality in design work. Every aspect of the branding, from the logo to the brand pattern, required meticulous attention to ensure consistency and coherence.

Overall, working on the Aakarah exhibition branding project was a valuable learning experience that provided me with practical skills, insights into the design process, and confidence in my abilities as a designer.
